Mittens and Gloves - Working Together

This online assembly from Sarah and Mark focuses on the feeding of the 5000 which can be found in Matthew 14:13-21, Mark 6:30-40, Luke 9:10-17 and John 6:1-15. It is about how one small boy gave up his lunch and that simple act enabled Jesus to feed so many people.

Mark and Sarah also focus on a Bible verse from Philippians 2:4,5 as it says this

‘look out for one another's interests, not just for your own. The attitude you should have is the one that Christ had’

This point was brought out by Sarah and Mark who were wearing gloves and mittens to keep warm. Sarah points out that gloves are great as fingers can move about but with fingers in mittens they can keep each other warm – that is they work together to keep warm. The boy in the story didn’t keep what he had to himself but gave it to others so together everyone got fed.
